Hinge is a leading dating app with the mission of being “designed to be deleted,” aiming to foster meaningful matches that lead to real-world relationships. While it excels at facilitating initial connections, many users find it challenging to take the next step: moving from casual chatting to planning an actual date.

To address this, we conceptualized Wingman, a dedicated feature suite designed to support users in transitioning from conversation to in-person connection. Wingman includes tools that encourage communication, build confidence, and make date planning feel more intuitive and less intimidating. Seamlessly integrated into Hinge’s existing design system, the suite enhances the overall user experience while staying true to the brand’s core mission: helping users build real relationships, offline.
